Creating a New Deal

Manage seller and buyer relationships & transactions with deals

Every transaction in ListedPro starts as a deal: either a listing (you represent the seller) or a buyer deal (you represent the buyer).

Creating a new deal kicks off is a 4-step guided flow: Property → Template Selection → Deal Type (Seller/Buyer) → Confirm.

Before you Start

Have a template built. Templates stamp their tasks into every new deal, which is where most of the platform's leverage lives. See Templates.

Creating the Deal
  1. Go to the Deals page and use the Sellers/Buyers toggle to choose which side of the transaction you're on. This determines the deal type, and seller and buyer deals run different workflows.
  2. Click + New Listing or +New Buyer. The Add a new Listing or Buyer window opens.
  3. Step 1, Property. Enter the street address, city, state, and ZIP code. The state is a dropdown, pre-set to Florida.
  4. Step 2, Template. Choose a template to stamp tasks into this listing. Each of your templates is shown with its name and description. Select one and continue.
  5. Step 3, Seller (or Buyer). Enter your client's first name, last name, email, and phone. As the flow notes, this person is added as the primary contact on the deal.
  6. Step 4, Confirm. Review the property, template, and client cards (each has an Edit/Change link if something needs fixing), then click Create listing.
What Happens Next
  • The deal opens with its workflow ready to work. See Seller & Buyer Deal Workflow Basics.
  • The new deal appears on your Deals dashboard immediately, in Pre-listing status.
  • Your client appears on the deal as its primary contact, ready to receive messages.

Common Questions

  • Can I change the property details later? Yes. Property information is editable in the deal's Property Data step, and the deal header has an edit control for the listing's vitals.

  • Can I add more people to the deal? Yes. Additional participants are attached from within the deal. See Managing Contacts.
